Just signed up for a new email account with Fastmail.fm after I was unable to get a Gmail account because I have no U.S. cellphone service. Fastmail is decent, and I got over the dissapointment pretty quickly. *sigh* Later, I returned from the library, checked my acount, and was stunned to see nothing other than an invitation to start a Gmail account! To put it bluntly, I can say that I was jumping out of my skin, mad with joy. Finally, I could give up my privacy and sell my soul to the great software giant Google, who does such a nice job of keeping those pesky Chinese across the ocean from me nice and censored from the rest of the web that I surf without a care in the world. Thanks Gmail!
